Does this sound familiar?

Every day feels like a negotiation over screens

My child is always on the phone. Whenever I ask them to stop, we end up fighting.

I have to repeat everything five times. My child simply doesn't listen to me.

When I take the phone away, there's shouting, crying or a tantrum.

I know I shouldn't shout, but I lose my patience. Afterwards, I feel guilty.

I'm worried screens are affecting their studies, their sleep and our relationship.

If you nodded along, you're not failing. You're learning, and you don't have to figure it out alone.

My approach

It's not about banning screens. It's about building a healthy balance.

Technology is part of our children's lives. Together, we look beyond the visible behaviour, understand what's driving the conflict, and create a plan that fits your child, your routines and your family.

Connection before correction

  • Healthy digital boundaries

Realistic screen-time agreements that fit your school schedule, work hours and family values.

  • Calm, connected communication

Respond instead of react, so everyday conversations stop turning into arguments.

  • Consistent family routines

Predictable rhythms around screens, homework, meals and bedtime, kept up with firmness and kindness.

Meet Zalak

Hi, I'm Zalak Khattri

Before I became a parenting coach, I was a computer engineer working in IT. After my child was born, I often felt exhausted, overwhelmed and guilty, and sometimes I reacted with anger instead of calm.

That became my turning point. I learnt that being a good mother isn't about doing everything perfectly. It's about understanding yourself, understanding your child, and learning to respond consciously.

Today, as a Certified Parenting & Life Coach, I help mothers across India handle screen time, digital boundaries and daily conflicts, so they can build stronger relationships with their children.

“You don't have to be a perfect parent; you just need to be a conscious one.”

Kind words from parents

What parents say

“Honestly, I was fed up with the daily fights over mobile phones. Every time I asked my son to keep the phone away, it became an argument. I used to get angry and then feel bad about it later. After talking to Zalak, I started understanding how to handle these situations better. Things are getting better at home, and I feel much calmer now.”
Mother of a 9-year-old
“I always thought I needed to be more patient, but honestly, it was difficult when my child just wouldn't listen. I would shout and then regret it. Talking to Zalak helped me look at things differently. I'm still learning, but now I try to stay calm and handle things without getting angry so quickly. That itself feels like a big change for me.”
Mother of a 7-year-old
“My daughter and I were arguing over almost everything, especially her phone and studies. Sometimes I felt like she didn't want to talk to me at all. I just wanted us to understand each other better. With Zalak's guidance, I've started communicating differently and setting clearer boundaries. We still have our moments, but I feel we're slowly getting closer, and that means a lot to me.”
Mother of a 12-year-old
