Privacy policy

WingsAriaa is a digital age parenting and marriage coaching practice run by me, Zalak Khattri, from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. I coach parents online across India and run workshops for schools, preschools, companies and parent communities.

This policy explains what personal information I collect through this website and my services, why I need it, and how I look after it. “I”, “me” and “WingsAriaa” all mean me.

When you send an enquiry through the Contact page, I collect:

• Your contact details: your name, WhatsApp number and email address.
• About your family: whether you're a parent or caregiver, your child's age and your preferred language.
• Your message: what you'd like help with, and how you heard about me.

If we go ahead, I may also collect:

• Questionnaire answers: your child's age, screen habits, daily routines, family situation and what you'd like to change.
• Session notes: short notes I make so I can track progress and prepare for our next conversation.
• Messages: what you share on WhatsApp or email between sessions, including worksheets you send back.
• Payment records: the amount, date and reference of payments you make for sessions or workshops.

Please share only what you're comfortable with. You can always tell me more when we talk.

My work is with parents and caregivers, so I collect information from you, not directly from your child. Some of what you share will be about your child, such as their age, behaviour and routines. I treat this with extra care and use it only to support you as their parent.

This website is meant for adults. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to get in touch for you.

• To reply to your enquiry on WhatsApp or email, as you agreed to on the enquiry form.
• To share fees and arrange your parenting assessment call and any later sessions.
• To prepare for sessions and give you coaching, action plans, worksheets and check-ins that fit your family.
• To keep simple records of sessions and payments, and meet my legal and tax obligations.
• To improve how I work, using only general patterns that don't identify you, such as which topics parents ask about most.

I won't send you newsletters or marketing messages unless you ask for them, and you can stop them at any time.

What you share in coaching stays between us. I don't discuss your family with anyone else, including your child's school, other family members or other clients, unless you ask me to.

There are two exceptions: if I believe a child or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or if the law requires me to share information. Where it's safe to, I'll talk to you first.

I don't record sessions unless we've agreed to it beforehand. Testimonials are shared only with permission and without names, for example “Mother of a 9-year-old”. In workshops, I never share stories from individual clients.

I never sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with services that help me run my practice, and only as much as they need:

• Messaging and email: WhatsApp and my email provider, to stay in touch with you.
• Video calls: the platform we use for online sessions.
• Website and forms: the services that host this website and receive enquiry forms and questionnaires.
• Payments and accounts: the bank or payment app you use to pay me, and my accountant for tax records.

Some of these services may store data outside India. I choose providers that follow recognised security standards.

This website uses only the cookies it needs to work properly. I don't use advertising cookies or sell browsing data.

Some pages include content from other services. For example, the podcast on the About page plays from YouTube, and YouTube may set its own cookies when you play it. Links to Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

• Enquiries that don't go further: deleted within 12 months of your last message.
• Coaching records: kept while we work together and for up to 3 years after our last session, in case you come back.
• Payment records: kept for as long as Indian tax law requires.

You can ask me to delete your records sooner, unless the law requires me to keep them.

I keep your information in password-protected accounts and devices, and only I can see your session notes. No system is completely secure, but I take reasonable care to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access.

Under Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:

• Ask what personal information I hold about you and how I use it.
• Ask me to correct or update anything that's wrong or out of date.
• Ask me to delete your information when it's no longer needed.
• Withdraw your consent to be contacted at any time. This doesn't affect anything we've already done together.
• Raise a concern with me and, if you're not satisfied with my reply, with the Data Protection Board of India.

I'll reply to your request as soon as I can, and within 30 days.
